A dentist is a physician that works diagnosing and treating problems concerning patient's teeth and gums. They provide regular checkups and cleanings.

Qualifications

It generally takes a long to become a dentist: four years to earn a bachelor's degree as an undergraduate and four years to earn a BDS in dental school, so it's a long process. If you're interested in specializing, you'll also need to complete a dental residency.
