Description
Jewellers design, create and repair jewellery using a wide range of materials and tools. They may create rings, brooches, bracelets, necklaces or other small objects out of precious metals, stones, plastics or wood.
Qualifications
To become a trade qualified Jeweller, you usually need to complete an apprenticeship (a combination of on-the-job training and a classroom-based course). This qualification will teach you about jewellery repair, stone and gem setting, technical drawing and metal casting and will give you the skills and knowledge you need to work as a Jeweller.
